Setting up a Charitable Allowance is free and easy - just choose the recipients, and we’ll create an Impact Account for them linked to yours. Your Impact Account is your personal giving fund you can use to fund the allowances. This way, you control how much your kids receive and when.

The Impact Account is your personal giving fund that is used to fund the allowances. To create a Charitable Allowance, you must first create an Impact Account. You can add money to your Impact Account at any time or schedule monthly deposits. Scheduling monthly deposits is an easy way to ensure you have enough funds for the allowance. You’ll get a tax receipt instantly in your account for each deposit

An allowance can be given weekly, monthly, or annually. Our recommendation is to schedule a monthly allowance.
That’s up to you, but you likely want to spend about an hour a month with your child or teen to help guide and discuss how they want to give. This doesn’t need to be a formal conversation, but rather a chat you can have while driving to sports practice, on a walk, or at the dinner table.
Charitable Impact doesn’t charge administrative fees, but we do recover a 2.8% credit card processing fee if you use your credit card to add money to your Impact Account. The Impact Account is what you use to fund the allowance.
Once they receive the allowance, they can choose how to use the charitable dollars. Charitable dollars stay in their account until they're ready to give to the charities and causes they care about.
